Hinterland Music Festival

Hinterland Music Festival 2021 – Located in St. Charles, Iowa, the Avenue of the Saints Amphitheater has hosted the Hinterland Music Festival every 2015. Every August, the Festival is Iowa’s largest music festival. Live music is just one of the many attractions at Hinterland. Des Moines Register reports that 14,000 people attended Hozier’s performance in 2019, setting a new single-day attendance record for the Festival. Before this year, Sturgill Simpson’s single-day Hinterland attendance record was 11,200.

Sam Summers, the co-owner of a local music venue and the booker of a concert series, is organizing the Festival. Originally, Water Works Park in southwest Des Moines, which borders the Raccoon River, was going to be the site’s debut year as a host site. Due to flooding concerns at the park, its first edition was relocated to St. Charles, twenty miles away.

COVID-19 pandemic

As it is clear that the COVID-19 pandemic would persist into August and beyond, the Festival for last year had to be canceled. Avett Brothers have replaced monsters and Men as major headliners for this year’s Festival. Hinterland organizers promise a happy event this year after last year’s cancellation due to safety and social distancing concerns. This year’s Hinterland festival will look different, but “we are thrilled at the thought of bringing you the joy of live music again,” says the Festival’s website. Hinterland is a style of music. The Hinterland Music Festival will return this weekend in St. Charles to celebrate independent rock, roots music, and Americana, a tradition in Madison County since it began in 2009. Here are a few Hinterlands artists’ tunes worth listening to on the half-hour drive to St. Louis.

After a long day of concerts, festivalgoers can set up camp in the surrounding Iowa countryside in the evenings. There is one undeniable draw for those who don’t enjoy camping and don’t live in the vicinity of St. Charles, Iowa: the incredible lineup.

We’ve redesigned Hinterland to be more socially distant, with fewer people attending, and established rules to ensure that everyone who participates has a safe and responsible time.

We’ve developed these protocols considering the current COVID-19 infection and vaccination rates. We will reevaluate capacity restrictions and procedures if the CDC, state, or local health departments’ guidance changes. When not eating or drinking, Hinterland attendees will be required to wear a face mask. Reduced crowds will be achieved through the addition of more restrooms, food vendors, and entry/exit points, in addition to “robust sanitation procedures” that will keep the common areas clean. The festival organizers promise to enforce these rules.

Hinterland Music Festival 2021 Admission Fees

Four-day general admission passes are priced at $250, and VIP passes are priced at $550. Saint’s pass, which includes camping, is priced at a whopping $1,500. Hinterland Music Festival 2022 information is now available, so you can learn everything you need to know about this exciting event. It is expected that the public will purchase tickets for this Festival. After February 4, you can easily buy a ticket and wish to have a great time.

This time, Hinterland says “only a limited number of tickets will be made available”  as compared to previous years for social distancing, even though everyone who purchased a 2020 festival pass will automatically receive a receipt for this year’s fest. Camping spots will be more widely dispersed as well.

Don’t depend on how many people have been vaccinated, and COVID-19 will continue to be a concern for event planners and attendees for the foreseeable future. Vice President Joe Biden’s new COVID-19 policy intends to have all American adults eligible for vaccination by May 1 and to bring the country “closer to normal” by July 4, a timeframe that Dr. Anthony Fauci has acknowledged as “very reasonable.”

Governor Kim Reynolds announced that all adults in Iowa would be eligible for immunizations by April 5. It will be more difficult to vaccinate all adults unless the federal government increases Iowa’s vaccine supply.

Whether indoors or outdoors, small gatherings are considered safe by the CDC for those who have received all their recommended vaccinations. Masks and six-foot social distancing are recommended in public or among unvaccinated people from more than one household or large group.

This time around, we’re excited to introduce a streaming service to our customers. It is something we have discussed in the past, and the technology has improved in the last year, making it viable for us to include that as an option in 2021,” organizer Sam Summers told Little Village. “It’s something we would keep moving forward if there’s enough interest in it.”There will be a strict check on the pandemic in Iowa for the next five months, according to Summer’s promise. If infection levels or vaccination rates rise or fall, we’ve prepared for various contingencies.
